Cristina & Kyle ~ Hamilton Wedding!

Cristina & Kyle got married in Hamilton, On we actually had the pictures done in downtown Hamilton right around the church grounds as it was raining on and off so we didn’t want to chance it I’m glad as I love the old architecture of some of these 150 year old buildings!, reception was help at Galileo’s in Stoney Creek! Thanks for including me in your day!

Nevaeh ~ 6 days

We recently welcomed Nevaeh which I never heard that name before but whats really cool about it, is that spelled backwards it’s heaven! awesome!

Joshua ~ 8 days new!

We welcomed Josua and proud parents Gary & Andrea for a newborn session, as much as we love photographing babies I also love that feeling that new parents bring, that love, excitement, adrenaline filled and lack of sleep but don’t care cause I made a life feeling. That’s exactly what Gary & Andrea brought and this session was a breeze and therefor we got to experiment with some new props!

I've had the song "honeycomb" in my head ALL day! cause of this lol

Christina & Kyle ~ Engagement

This engagement shoot did not go exactly as planned.. actually ended up in tragedy not for any of us but for my camera!! Story… Already my start of the day off to a intense shock (more about that soon..) We decided to go to this old restaurant for the engagement photos so I knew there would be some very dim lighting so of course I packed up my tripod and put on the tripod mount (the piece that screws into your camera) and I never use my tripod EVER. So we were doing the shoot and I’m very active and directing and thinking creatively, anyway so we ran outside to do some shots as a couple employees tried to figure out how to turn on the fireplace for us and were out there and I’m getting into my zone and not thinking straight (more about that soon..) I saw a shot in my head so I quickly put my camera down on one of the tables nearby on the patio took a half a step away and I saw it in the corner of my eye.. yup camera falling.. like it was slow motion to the ground…bam! lens back to canon for repairs.ouch! Couldn’t believe it  I mean me using a tripod is craziness and having that mount on my camera that made my camera fall is craziness and the fact my brain and thoughts of just finding out an hour before the shoot we were pregnant!! was craziness!!! hah serves me right for not breathing after shocking and great news.

Bared the freezing water for a couple great shots!

Maternity ~ Christine

There is nothing better to us than someone like Christine who comes in to our studio with an amazing attitude and that is down for anything! we got to experiment a little bit more cause of this and got some great results! Christines  husband is a very talented artist and sent me a few sketches of some of his work before hand, so I decided to see if I can recreate one of his drawings.. below is my not so great but not too bad attempt..

Jon's drawing on the left!! beautiful

Newborn Alyssa

Brock ~ Newborn

This little guy was such a delight we honestly could’ve taken pictures of him all day, him being so good and dad being a goalie and a Vancouver Canucks fanatic we got some very cool and different shots. Here is a little sample of the session. I’ll post more shots later on!

Our top 10 favs – Engagement shot 2010

there are so many reasons why I love shooting an engagement couple, other than it being so much fun, not being rushed, gives me time to get creative, build relationships and the best part for them is to be together!

Here is just a very small fraction of our ‘favorites’ for this year.

Wedding at Grand Olympia ~ Helena + Trevor

Had the pleasure of being the photographer of Helena & Trevor’s Wedding. Since the first day of meeting them I have always felt the love of this family of 4, hard to explain but I know it’s the kind of love everyone should have the way they look at eachother, their kids and the energy you feel when your around them.

Avery – Newborn Hamilton Photography

Here is Avery, beautiful brand new girl who was amazing for us! slept and slept and slept! We were definitely spoiled so we took advantage of some new props.

How cool is this snowman picture!! We couldn’t wait to use this new prop Dawn made took a few days to make and just finished it at midnight the night before!

Albion Falls, Hamilton

I have always just wanted to come back to Albion just to take pictures of the falls itself. I have been here on numerous occasions typically for Weddings and Engagement shoots, so on my way to my parents, I decided to stop for a few minutes and shoot this beast of a waterfall! even though Hamilton is the waterfall capital of the world! hosting 125 within the city, Albion has to be easily one of my favorites (note: I’ve only seen about a dozen or less…lol) not only can you get right close to the falls but for most of the year it is only about half a foot deep, which is awesome for engagements cause we can take off our shoes and roll up our pants and get right in there!

Stay tuned for pictures of illumination of Albion at night.

Burlington Engagement – Rachelle & Scott

I recently had the pleasure of taking this couples engagement photos, I keep trying to remind myself to ask my clients where they met? or where did he propose? as they can potentially be Great locations for an Engagement session!  well this couple actually mentioned this to me so we headed to Burlington’s Spencer smith park. I am just glad I could make this park even more meaningful to them!

Newborn Hamilton Photography- Nolan 5 days new

Not much I can say about Nolan except…… he will probably be the next “Mr. Universe!!!!” no kidding at only 5 days brand new, he not only held his head up but pushed down to almost straighten his forearms!

James ~ Newborn

James was a great baby to work with but like all guys wasn’t sure what he wanted.. eat or sleep so of course  he did both! loong sleep, loong feeding, loong sleep, loong feeding, extremely sleepy then extremely hungry but hey no one ever said modeling is easy!

Alivia ~ Newborn

Alivia, such a cutie and look at all that hair!! 7 days new

Dalilah ~ Newborn

Earlier this year we have decided to branch out from Weddings, engagements, couples etc.. and add a new specialty to our creative focus and start on ‘lil’ light-scape and shoot newborns! Wow are we ever having fun! and busy doing it getting props, Dawn learning how to crochet and making hats and diaper covers and getting backdrops etc.. but once get that brand new baby in our studio and get those shots it is more than worth all the effort in the world!

Here is a recent shoot we have done. 6 day old Dalilah and how beautiful is she! Dawn had a theme without knowing the mothers preference to use pink as the primary color scheme for this shoot and did it ever pay off as the mother LOVES pink.
